Broad Bioinformatics Workshop & Office Hours

Join Oxford Nanopore at the Broad Institute for a hands-on bioinformatics workshop and office hours focused on transcriptomics, recent advances in Oxford Nanopore cDNA sequencing, and practical approaches to isoform-level data analysis.

This workshop will explore the latest improvements to Oxford Nanopore's cDNA sequencing solutions and how long-read sequencing can provide a more complete view of transcript structure, alternative splicing, and isoform diversity. The session will include a deep dive into bioinformatics workflows for analyzing transcriptomic data, with a focus on working with and interpreting full-length isoforms.

Following the workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in dedicated office hours with Oxford Nanopore experts to discuss their own projects, workflows, and data analysis challenges. Whether you are exploring long-read transcriptomics for the first time or looking to optimize an existing workflow, this is an opportunity to learn about the latest sequencing and analysis capabilities and connect directly with experts.

Topics will include:

-Recent improvements to Oxford Nanopore cDNA sequencing solutions
-Long-read approaches to transcriptomics and full-length transcript characterization
-Isoform discovery, identification, and quantification
-Alternative splicing and transcript structure analysis
-Bioinformatics workflows and tools for transcriptomic data analysis
-Best practices for interpreting and working with isoform-level data
-Open discussion and project-specific office hours with Oxford Nanopore experts

Bring your questions, workflows, and transcriptomics challenges for an interactive session designed to help you get more from your data.

Lunch will be provided, so please register your interest in attending so we can have an accurate headcount!
